Leadership in the Honors Classroom and Beyond
Honors supports students in growing as leaders. Students have the opportunity to serve as an Honors Mentor working in Honors 100, our first-year experience course. In this role, junior and senior Honors students help our new freshmen find their homes on campus and figure out how to get the most out of their 澳门葡京网赌送彩金 experience. Mentors develop leadership and communication skills, build confidence, and leave a legacy by contributing to the education of other Honors students, all while earning Honors credit.
Honors students also have the opportunity to take a special Honors leadership seminar, which supports them in developing a leadership project on or off-campus. As they learn about theory of leadership, practice techniques, and earn Honors credit, students make a concrete difference in their student organizations, Student Senate, volunteer roles, and campus jobs.
