Honors LLC
The Honors Living Learning Community brings together talented, highly motivated students to live, learn, grow, and achieve. Participants are first- and second-year students in the University Honors Program.
Living
The Honors LLC occupies the second floor of Bridgman Hall on upper campus. The LLC is the community hub of the University Honors Program, where students who live on the same floor take classes together, share new interests, learn from each other, and make new connections. Students in the LLC join a welcoming, supportive community of students from a wide variety of majors and backgrounds.
LLC students also gain leadership opportunities. The LLC holds a seat on the Honors Council, the faculty and student advisory board for the Honors Program. The Honors Student Steering Committee, which plans events and programming for Honors, also holds its bi-weekly meetings in Bridgman Hall, so meetings are particularly convenient for LLC members.
Learning
The Honors community grows in the classroom, where students share perspectives with each other in small, discussion-oriented seminars and labs. Honors LLC students all take HNRS 100, our first-year seminar, and meet each other and other Honors students in all their Honors courses. Honors offers about 40 courses just for Honors students every semester. Find Honors courses.
Programs and Events
Students in the Honors LLC gather frequently for movie and game nights, community meals, field trips, and more. They also have special access to Honors faculty and staff, who hold advising hours and host pizza nights just for LLC students in Bridgman.
